Do you use gelatine or vegetable casing for the capsules?
Beef gelatine capsules.
What do organ products taste like?
The capsules have no taste or odour; the powder has a slight umami taste.
Is the beef organ blend safe for babies and children?
As the product is pure beef liver and heart there is no issue in feeding to children. You can sprinkle on food or mix into vegetable mashes.
For babies and children under 12 years old use 1/4 of the adult dose, a few times per week.
With any supplement we always recommend speaking with your healthcare professional if you have any concerns or your child has any special requirements. Fresh organic food is always the first place for ensuring that vitamin and mineral requirements are being met. Supplements are suitable when you feel a need to enhance a diet that may be lacking in certain vitamins.
Can I take it if I'm pregnant?
Being pregnant is the most important time to take care of your health and wellbeing. We always suggest you talk to your midwife or doctor about any supplements you take. Our product is pure beef liver and heart and within the dosage stated is part of a healthy addition to your diet.
How is organic different from grass-fed?
Our product is both!
Grass-fed describes the feeding systems on a farm. Our animals live outside all year round, eating grass and hay made from grass on the farm. They are not fed any grains or feed additives. Grass-fed beef has higher levels of Omega 3 than grain-fed beef.
Organic farming is a system that does not use any synthetic inputs. There are no pesticides or herbicides used on the pasture. Fertilisers are natural like seaweeds, lime and organic compost. The animals do not receive any chemical drenches, antibiotics or hormones. As all these toxins are processed through the organs of animals, buying certified organic organ products is crucial to ensure the purity of the final product.
